  • If you received any award made in the 2007-08 academic year (including the April 2008 tranche of project awards), you can apply for, and possibly be selected for, any award in the 2008-09 programme of awards;
  • If selected for more than one type of award, you will receive the higher value award and shall become ineligible for any other award in the 2008-09 programme of awards.
By submitting an application you agree to be bound by the terms of award. The Trustees reserve the right to receive a short report from successful applicants on how the funds were used.

Selection process
The Trustees have no preference or restriction on the academic area to be studied. They will however, review all applications to satisfy themselves that the proposed course is a bona fide postgraduate study or that the individual having obtained a first degree is studying for a further degree. The Trustees will also wish to be satisfied that the applicant has sufficient funding to ensure that the applicant can complete the proposed course.

In the event that the number of applications exceeds the funds available, the Trustees will resort to a method of random selection. In making the final award decisions the Trustees reserve the right to take account of the applicant's financial means. All awards are made at the absolute discretion of the Trustees.
