Section 6 - Postgraduate Bursary Application

We have received a number of enquiries stating that Universities are unable to countersign section 6 of the application in advance of submitting the application and asking how to proceed. We are already aware of this and had already made full provision for such situations. The instructions in section 6 state - "If you have not already registered with an Institution, a pro forma letter is attached to this application form which you may pass to your University to have them confirm directly with us after you have submitted this application." In other words submit your application by the deadline and obtain the confirmation in due course. Late application WILL NOT be accepted. Applications which are received on time but are incomplete IN THIS ONE ASPECT ONLY will be accepted. Should you selected to receive an award it will, of course, not be paid out until this certification is actually received.

Other matters

We received more than 20 applications for the three Postgraduate Reseach Scholarships on offer this year.  The Trustees would like to thank all who applied for the time and effort they clearly put in making their applications.  The quality of the applications was such that the Trustees faced a very difficult choice in first short-listing applicants for interview and then in selecting those to receive the award.  All successful applicants have now been informed.
